FEED THE STREET CHILDREN’S DAY PROJECT, MAY 27, 2017

This project was an event organized on the 27th of May, 2017 to commemorate the Children’s Day, 2017. This event was organized by our Teams in Lagos and Ibadan to show love to the children on the Streets especially the homeless and less-fortunate.
The project started out with a call for volunteers by the organization to get interested and committed volunteers to participate in the children’s day Feed-The-Street activities. Interested Volunteers came from far and wide. Notable Volunteers from Ibadan were student from University of Ibadan and The Polytechnic Ibadan, while volunteers from Lagos were students from University of Lagos and other institutions.

Donations were made as this was to purchase food and gift items and consumables to be donated to the children.

The Lagos team proceeded to Makoko Village,  a community ravaged by poverty and environmental crisis in Lagos. A visit was also payed to the community elders who in turn paved way for the donation of gift materials to the children.

The Ibadan team proceeded to different communities within the streets of Ibadan. Some of the Areas covered include Dugbe, Mokola, Ring-Road, Challenge and Ojoo. Gifts and consumables were donated to the Children to celebrate children’s Day.

It wasn’t an easy task but we did it. It was fun spending the day with the children and putting smiles on their faces. 

We wish we could take all these kids off the streets but it’s not an easy task, ypu can always lend an helping hand to help get these children off the street.
